Silent Death

In shadows deep, where light retreats, A silent death, unseen, it creeps. Not marked by tombstones or tolling bells, But etched within souls, where darkness dwells.

The heart, a fragile vessel, bears the weight, As silent storms rage, sealing one's fate. No outward wounds, no crimson stain, Yet pain devours, like a relentless rain.

They smile, they laugh, they play their part, While silent demons tear them apart. Behind closed doors, in quiet despair, They fight a battle no one else can share.

Their minds, a tempest of tangled vines, Choked whispers, echoes of fractured lines. They drift away, lost in the abyss, Unseen, unheard, their silent cries dismissed.

The mirror reflects a fractured truth, Eyes hollow, searching for lost youth. They wear a mask, a fragile guise, Hiding the tempest that within them lies.

And when the night descends like lead, They cradle their pain, their silent dread. No solace found in the waking day, For they are prisoners of their own decay.

Yet let us listen, with hearts unsealed, To the silent cries that go unhealed. For in compassion's touch, we find the key, To break the chains of silent misery.

Let empathy bloom, like a fragile flower, And reach out to those in their darkest hour. For silent deaths need not persist, When love and understanding truly exist.

Remember, dear reader, that compassion and understanding can be a lifeline for those silently suffering. Let us be vigilant, for sometimes the quietest battles are the most profound.
